After so many years of being with Sony Tropical, VICTOR MANUELLE is about to release his thirteenth album under his own record label (Kiyavi Records) entitled "Yo Mismo". Not many people seem to know about this album being on the horizon. MANUELLE is the main producer and writer of the album, a collection of Salsa music that is a staple of the creative force belonging to this legendary artist.

MANUELLE has invited several people to be a part of this project including Luis Fonsi, Amaury Gutierrez, Jorge Piloto, Claudia Brant, and more. The lead single "Mirame" has a recognizable blend of salsa and flamenco that is absolutely hypnotizing. "Yo Mismo" follows the standard blueprint found virtually on every MANUELLE album...it contains several Tropical songs and a few ballads. Songs like "Donde Iras" and "El Amor No Es Asi" are perfect examples of what I'm talking about. Both tracks, along with another ballad entitled "Como Te He Querido Yo", are mesmerizing because of the sentiment behind the words. The rest of the songs on the album contain the high energy you can expect from MANUELLE. This is especially noticeable on tracks like "Me Duele" and "El Que Te Llama". "Yo Mismo" also features a spoken-word track ("Agradecimentos") where MANUELLE is giving his thanks to certain people who have helped him along the way. Far from a disappointment, I really like this album and I hope that it can do well for him. Unlike his other albums, not much hype is being given to it...and I'm afraid that could potentially water down his sales.

Songs that I Really Enjoyed from the Album:
• Mirame
• El Que Te Llama
• Como Te Lo Digo
• El Amor No Es Asi (Salsa and Ballad Versions)
• Lo Que Me Hiciste featuring Jorge Celedon and Jimmy Zambrano
• Donde Iras (Ballad Version)

At the time of posting this review, there were no full-length music clips available.
