This week's chart analysis was beyond exhausting...yet, very interesting. 50 CENT...I'm not gonna waste my time on this fool...! I'll just say this...I already knew this before the album was dropped and my Babyboi only confirmed it. The figure that was in the hundred-thousand range for how many albums he sold was based upon TWO weeks of sales. Because of the album leaking on the Internet, 50 CENT made "Before I Self Destruct" available for digital download...so his ACTUAL FIRST WEEK sales are NOT over 100,000! Don't let the numbers take you for a ride...do some research first before believing 50 CENT actually has a fan base.
NORAH JONES and JOHN MAYER...more power to them. I really didn't see the big deal behind "Battle Studies" and I sure as Hell wouldn't have called it a "Number One" album...
KRIS ALLEN and LEONA LEWIS seriously have to do something quickly to stay on people's minds because right now...no one really cares about them...trust me, the sales speak for themselves.
JUSTIN BIEBER did not need to have ALL seven songs from his album released for radio play. I think that's absolutely unfair and a bit of overkill.
ONE REPUBLIC is another band that needs to keep up with their work...while JANET...I called it...my Babyboi called it...no one was interested in a "greatest hits" compilation from her.
PRETTY RICKY...yeah, whatever.
Last week's artists who released albums either dropped tremendously down the chart...or they disappeared altogether from the Billboard 200. BRITNEY SPEARS and MELANIE FIONA drop into the seventies while WALE falls almost eighty spots down the chart to #100. None of the Latin artists are on the Billboard 200...BUT JENCARLOS beat out ALEJANDRO SANZ for the Number One spot on the Latin Albums chart. VICTOR MANUELLE is still holding it down for the Tropical Albums chart.
