So what can be said about this gentleman that most people don't know? JENCARLOS CANELA is a 21-year-old Cuban-American who was born and raised in Miami, Florida. At the age of twelve, he began his music career when he became part of the band Boom Boom Pop. Two years after that, JENCARLOS began recording his own material. He was given the opportunity to perform at the Miss World 2004 and 2005 pageants...and what's really impressive about JENCARLOS is that he's composed music in English, Spanish, German, Italian, and Portuguese. He's also a multi-instrumentalist capable of playing the piano, guitar, and drums.

I am almost certain that if anyone is going to recognize JENCARLOS...it's going to be because of his presence in various Spanish soap operas. He first appeared on Telemundo during the 2007-2008 run of "Pecados Ajenos" ...afterwards, he appeared on "Doña Barbara". It wasn't until January of 2009 when JENCARLOS signed an exclusivity contract with Telemundo that his success skyrocketed. JENCARLOS is now part of the ever-addictive and menacing plot behind "Mas Sabe El Diablo". He is working alongside veteran actors, including Miguel Veroni, Gaby Espino, Karla Monroig, and Jorge Luis Pila, to create one of the most gut-wrenching dramas ever aired on Telemundo. He used this platform to promote his upcoming debut album "Buscame".

"Buscame" features the lead single "Amor Quedate", which is also featured in the new opening credits to "Mas Sabe El Diablo". The album itself is definitely outstanding. Containing elements reminiscent of Camila, JENCARLOS' debut album consists of pop/rock ballads that are emotionally stirring and well-executed. The highlights for me came when I heard the title track. The highly provocative lyrics tell a story about a person having to "look for him" in the moment you may "need" someone...no matter what or how you may need them. Another song is the powerful "Salvame". JENCARLOS is a very talented individual and I can only imagine that his career will last a very long time. His music is very appealing and I would recommend taking the time to listen to the album...JENCARLOS is yet another person we need to keep our eyes open for.

Song that I Really Enjoyed from the Album:
• Nadie Como Yo
• Amor Quedate
• Porque Aun Te Amo
• Tu Veneno
• Estes Donde Estes
• Quiero Despertar
• Una Lagrima No Basta
• Es Tan Triste
• Amor Quedate (Unplugged Version)
• Amor Quedate (Salsa Version)
• Amor Quedate (Club Version)

At the time of posting this review, there were no full-length music clips available. Instead, here's an album preview I found on youtube.com...
