ROBIN THICKE-- "Sex Therapy: The Experience" (Rating 5/5)

If you are looking for the smooth and sensual ROBIN THICKE...he's here...but the level of sexuality is exponentially amplified...and many of you may not be ready to take it. ROBIN THICKE grew on me almost rapidly for reasons that cannot be shared openly with the general public. Since then, I have constantly fell in love over and over again with his voice...that voice that can make you do some things you might not be used to. Anyways, I digress...yes, ROBIN THICKE makes the best bedroom music out of ANY R&B crooner in the industry. I will say this though...this album is NOT gonna be for everyone...especially those who aren't comfortable with the topic of sex.

While Justin Timberlake simply stuck his foot in the "sexy" pool with his last album "FutureSex/LoveSounds", ROBIN THICKE dives in head first with his newest masterpiece "Sex Therapy: The Experience". (Just to let you know, there are TWO versions of "Sex Therapy..." arriving on shelves today. The STANDARD VERSION is called "The Session", whereas the DELUXE VERSION is called "The Experience" ...the latter features five extra tracks.) So lock the kids up in their room and get ready for the ride of your life. The album is funkier, harder, and flirtier than ever...and for the first time, ROBIN THICKE gained a Parental Advisory Warning because of the material. He works with Jay-Z, Estelle, Kid Cudi, and others to deliver an ultimately delicious performance. Fans will still receive the love ballads THICKE is generally known for towards the end of the album. Songs like "2 Luv Birds" and "Jus Right" are the classics that everyone will be searching for...and although it's undeniably wonderful to be seductive and loving, it is also completely okay to be dominant and demanding. Perfect song to describe what I am talking about is "Shakin' It 4 Daddy" featuring Nicki Minaj. That song...wow...I didn't know THICKE had it in him...although I am not totally surprised. Kinda makes me wanna do a...never mind. Another great song is "Meiple (Me I Play)" featuring Jay-Z. I don't know what is it with everyone trying to adapt the concept of anything French into their music...but I'm not complaining whatsoever.

"Sex Therapy: The Experience" isn't exactly the soundtrack that I would use throughout an entire bedroom scene...to me, it's just the pre-cursor that leads to foreplay and love making as a whole...and for THAT, I would listen to earlier albums from ROBIN THICKE. Regardless, this album is flawless...and I can't wait to hear what future singles will be released.

Songs that I Truly Enjoyed from the Album:
• Mrs. Sexy
• Sex Therapy
• Make U Love Me
• Rollacoasta featuring Estelle
• I Got U
• Jus Right
• Mona Lisa
• Brand New Luv
• Diamonds featuring Game

REVIEWS COMING UP MONDAY, DECEMBER 21st, 2009:
MARY J. BLIGE-- "Stronger With Each Tear"
YOUNG MONEY-- "We Are Young Money"
EMINEM-- "Relapse: REFILL"

As the year and decade come to an end, a few artists are getting themselves set to close 2009 with a lasting impression...but the problem is, has their appeal already been lost? MJB's album has been pushed back several times...and it's also had several facelifts. Will she be able to conjure up the stardom she had when "The Breakthrough" was released back in 2005? And even though Lil' Wayne's "Rebirth" was pushed back into oblivion ONCE AGAIN, we still gotta deal with him on YOUNG MONEY's upcoming album...is it just gonna be another ridiculous Hip-Hop album being put out that contains no relevance whatsoever?

And EMINEM...really? I have a few choice words for him in NEXT WEEK's REVIEW. So make sure you check it out on MONDAY, DECEMBER 21st, 2009 before the BABYBOICAMPBELLS REVIEW goes on hiatus for TWO WEEKS!
