PAUL WALL-- "Heart of a Champion" (RATING 0/5)

(The LATEST FAILURE added to this REVIEW!)

Does anyone remember what song PAUL WALL is most recognized for? I didn't know the answer to this question either simply because he has no name for himself in the Rap world...but it turns out that the annoying single Girl from his 2005 debut album The People's Champ was the most successful as it was the only single ever released that peaked the highest on the Billboard Charts. Everything else thereafter was nothing but a joke and didn't do anything to help solidify PAUL WALL as a reputable artist...

He receives the label of FAILURE when it comes to the BABYBOICAMPBELLS REVIEW! Yes it is true...PAUL WALL is the second artist this year to get that awful name from me...but he earned it outright with his latest dismal offering called Heart of a Champion. He simply didn't cut it this time around...and I'm not hearing any buzz whatsoever about this album anyways. Heart of a Champion was mainly produced by Travis Barker...clearly, because it wasn't the sounds that turned me off about the album. It's a the lame lyrical flow that comes out of PAUL WALL's mouth. I mean...you tell me what you expect from tired-out song titles like I'm On Patron, Stay Iced Out, Pockets Fulla Presidents, and Smoke Everyday!? It's all been said and done before...by actual Rap veterans who know what's up! And another thing, collaborating with the industry's B- and C-List hip-hop artists like Chamillionaire, Lil' Keke, and others doesn't make for a groundbreaking album...it just proves to PAUL WALL couldn't get any elite performers to contribute their talent.

The only song I found somewhat passable on Heart of a Champion was the opening track Take Notes...not because it was anything special...it was because it's the only track that actually catches my attention...in the least bit, anyways. I wouldn't recommend that anyone wastes money on this album. There are a lot more buzz-worthy Hip-Hop/Rap albums coming our way...let PAUL WALL get a wake-up call when his latest effort fails miserably just like he has. Maybe then he'll get the hint that no one really cares about his career any more...

I DID NOT CARE FOR ANY SONG WHATSOEVER FROM Heart of a Champion!!

From PAUL WALL's newest album "Heart of a Champion", here's the song "Take Notes..."
