RICK ROSS-- "Teflon Don" (RATING 1/5)

(This week's FAILURE)

What do Entertainment Weekly, The New York Times, and The Washington Post all have in common? Every critic from these highly prestigious publications gave RICK ROSS a favorable rating on his new album...but I bet you any money, these people aren't the types of people that'll drive around blasting his music from their car. I fail to hear the colorful adjectives they mention in their reviews totally...as a matter of fact, Teflon Don gives RICK ROSS The FAILURE label...making him the third artist this year to receive such a low rating from MY review...

Teflon Don's overproduced tracks come across like RICK ROSS was doing anything in his power to impress anything and anyone. After having been sued for apparently stealing his moniker from a drug trafficker , it probably goes without saying that RICK ROSS does not know the definition of the word "original". He is a B-List rapper with A-List aspirations that turn out to be C-List shortcomings. Teflon Don opens with the track I'm Not a Star...CLEARLY! You didn't need to write a whole song about this topic...I already knew it. The atrocity continues on with songs like MC Hammer featuring Gucci Mane. There's no deviation for RICK ROSS as he tries to paint us this imagery that the album is straight from the heart. Superficiality oozes out of the organ in his chest...it's all about the girls, cars, etc., etc. Maybach Music III featuring Jadakiss and Erykah Badu and Aston Martin Music featuring Drake and Chrisette Michele are the only two song I somewhat enjoyed...but it still wasn't enough to make me say RICK ROSS is a gift to the Rap world; he will always be far from it.

All this praise about his flow...and I don't hear it. The lyrics are stupid and not thought-out whatsoever. He doesn't have the cunning knack for creating unbelievable rhymes and bold statements like JAY-Z and EMINEM do. RICK ROSS can only dream about it. Teflon Don is another disastrous attempt at music...and RICK ROSS will just have to suffer the brunt of his inadequacy as a performer. I'll tell you this...in reference to a little comment made during an interview with Billboard...even if I drove a Honda Accord, Teflon Don will NEVER be blasted from my car for as long as I live. It's crass, drowsy, and untalented!

I DID NOT CARE FOR ANY SONGS WHATSOEVER FROM Teflon Don!

From RICK ROSS' new album "Teflon Don", here's the song "Maybach Music III" featuring Jadakiss and Erykah Badu...

From the same album, here's "Aston Martin Music" featuring Drake and Chrisette Michele...
