KE$HA-- "Animal" (Rating 1/5)

(This week's "FAILURE")

2010 is set to be a very anticipatory year for music as we await the freshest sounds from Sade, Usher, Monica, Janet, Britney, and others, as well as newcomers Drake, Livvi Franc, and Alexandra Burke. Unfortunately, some music that's being hyped at the moment is nowhere near being copasetic with me, my ears, or this review as a whole.

KE$HA first appeared on the 2009 Flo Rida hit "Right Round" as the uncredited female vocalist in the chorus. Towards the end of the year, she ends up gaining the #1 song in America based upon a record she broke for having the song with the highest numbers for downloads in a week ("Tik Tok"). None of that means anything when it comes to the BabyboiCampbells Review...because if your album sucks...it will become duly noted how we feel. KE$HA's debut album "Animal" is beyond filth...it is a soundtrack for all the "white trashy girls" that have no rhythm...no sense of fashion...and the ones that try to act "hard" when they know one slap across the face will send them running back to their fathers.

We can all hail KE$HA as being the FIRST "FAILURE" of 2010...on songs like "Take It Off" (which features some writing credits from Claude Kelly), KE$HA talks about a "hole in the wall [that's] a dirty free-for-all...where they go hardcore and there's litter on the floor". Really amazing description, isn't it? Well how about this one for fun...on the song "Dinosaur", KE$HA talks about an older gentleman who can't keep his eyes off of her. In the chorus, she clearly spells the word "dinosaur" and says "You are a dinosaur/An O-L-D-M-A-N/You're just an old man/Hittin' on me, what/You need a CAT Scan..." The production doesn't make anything better as it's very close to the childhood taunting rhymes we heard when we were younger. And for those that think Britney can't sing...listen to "Animal" and you will clearly see KE$HA has NOTHING on Britney...as surprising as that may sound. The album is just too ignorant. Much like LMFAO's "Party Rock", "Animal" promises good party music...but grown people are going to end up looking elsewhere because this album just doesn't cut it. Maybe the ones fresh out of high school can appreciate it more.

That's really bad huh...?

Well...it's too bad it's the truth. The only songs I somewhat enjoyed were "Hungover" and "Animal", which showcased a side to KE$HA's vocal ability that wasn't as annoying as all Hell...

I know January is a slow month when it comes to music...but can we at least have people with some sort of talent releasing albums? I mean, come on now...what a way to bring in the New Year with some shitty performer who got lucky with a single that isn't even that clever or cute...it's just lame.

Songs that I Enjoyed from the Album:
NONE!

From KE$HA's new album "Animal", here's "Take It Off..."
